Kyle & Elissa Gilliam
Board Members | Maryland
Elissa’s originally from TN and Kyle’s from TX but they currently live in the D.C. area. Elissa is lobbyist for sorghum farmers, helping them tell their story to policymakers, and Kyle’s a real estate agent helping clients make sound decisions in the housing market with integrity and care.
Kyle wholeheartedly supports the 118 Foundation, in its commitment to facilitating the “comeback from cancer” through restoration grants and other resources. His belief in the foundation’s mission is grounded in personal experience: watching his mother fight pancreatic cancer showed him how deeply cancer affects families emotionally, financially, and physically.
Serving on the board of the 118 Foundation is a way for Kyle to turn that pain into purpose. He is driven by the opportunity to help provide hope, support, and practical aid to families facing cancer, so that no one battles it alone.
Similarly, Elissa is passionate about serving after seeing many friends and family members of all ages battle cancer, and the toll it takes on them. She wants to help people facing it have a lighter burden and know that there’s a community of hope and support here for them too.
